Danielle Alstat lives with primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), an autoimmune disease. Her autoimmune journey began in 2019 when she had just turned 31 years old. PBC was her first diagnosis and it acted as a catalyst that forever changed her life. Danielle is a respiratory therapist and worked on the front lines during the pandemic. With her column, she is eager to share her experiences as a patient and healthcare worker.
